This 6 ft mantel is 12" deep by 7 inches tall by 72 inches long in the top shelf. The bottom shelf is 8-3/4 inches deep by 65-1/4 in length. There is a dentil insert built into the face of the mantel to give the mantel a very classic look. The back is open with extra support brackets built in to give this mantel great support. 2 pre-drilled mounting brackets are included. Simply attach the 2 mounting brackets to your wall surface with the angled side of the bracket facing out and up and the mantel will just slide down over the top of the brackets and will be very sturdy.
Note: This mantel is "primed" white and has a great finish to it already, but you may choose to add another coat of finish to it or a gloss coat to bring the finish out even more. Most builders love our primed mantels just the way they are and simply mount them and go and enjoy their beauty.
