Here we have a Robo Cylinder linear actuator with a controller and cables from IAI. Very basic simple robotic automation. Yes, I know the price is ridiculously low, but we are trying to clean up a bit. We have 4 of these combinations available. The motor power and encoder cables are about 10 or 11 feet. The controller has a battery backup so that it is somewhat "absolute" positioning. The ribbon cables included are only about 18" long.

This is a 24VDC system with PNP I/O. I have tested these actuators with the controllers. They do work and are guaranteed not DOA. The stroke appears to be 2.5 to 3 inches.
I have used this line of actuators/controllers on machines before so I can answer some questions intelligently. They are pretty slick for doing what they do. They are quite simple to program. The basic wiring is fairly straight forward.

* Programming cable (serial port connection)
