High Speed Spindle Package Deal
I am now offering the TB-350S as a Package Deal.
The drive motor will bring the spindle up to around 20,000 rpm's and runs off a common 12 volt power source. The drive system will provide the spindle with approximately 200 Watts of cutting power. Great for cutting Hard Woods, Composites, and most Non-Ferrous metals. This drive system is now designed with dual belts to provide extra security to prevent damage to your project if one belt happens to break. One belt will drive the spindle long enough to allow you to stop your program to replace the belt.
Pro's & Con's of the 12VDC drive compared to my other options.
* Twice the power of my 110VAC Drive.
* Uses common power source. (A car battery would even work)
* Long service life for the cost. Very economical.
A little bit more noise then my 110VAC. (Hairdryer on low)
The mount will bring your spindle approx. 1.750" out from the face of the mount and has 4 counter bored holes for #10 size bolts. The hole pattern are 1" apart, up and down, and from side to side. This will allow you to mount the spindle to most machines being used such as the Taig milling machine or the WidgitMaster router.
This spindle is designed with 2 High Speed Stainless Steel bearings in the head for heavier side cutting loads. This spindle is capable of routing materials such as Circuit Boards, Wood, Plastics, Wax,... ect. This spindle is great for prototyping, model making, engraving and much more. It also has the high tolerances needed to drill even the tiniest holes. It is commonly used with drill bits as small as .005" and is able to drill many holes with a single drill bit. This is very difficult to achieve with other router tools such a Dremel.
The collet is tightened by a 10-32 draw-bolt which runs through the center of the spindle shaft and pulls the 1/8" (OR a 3mm collet on request) into the taper and closes onto the cutter shaft, much like on a R8 collet systems of the popular Bridgeport brand.
The housing and pulley are make of 303 Stainless Steel which are brought to a high finish. The uniquely designed hybrid spindle shaft is machined from 303 Stainless Steel and Brass tube. The collet is made of Leaded Steel to produce the high tolerances needed for this spindle.
