Bodacious sweet corn seed 1/2 lbs. pack
Bodacious has been used as an improvement to the standard yellow sugar corn. Bodacious is an earlier maturing vareity than most yellow sugar corns sold across the US appearing in supermarkets, general stores, farmers markets, and along side our highways.
Plant seed in rows 36 to 40 inches apart with plants spaced 8 - 10 inches apart in the row. ten to 15 pounds of seed will usually be required to plant an acre.
Well drained soils are essential for good results. A good seedbed is essential for successful seed germination. Plowing and disking the soil 3 - 4 times before planting will help in preparing a good seed bed.
Sweet corn is moderately tolerant of a pH range between 5.5 and 6.8. Lime should be applied to bring pH up to 6.5 for best results.
Fertilizer should be banded 2 - 3 inches to the side of seed and 2 - 3 inches deeper than the seed. The amount of fetilizer banded should not exceed 45lbs per acre of N (Nitrogen) plus K20. 50 lbs of acutal nitrogen when plants are knee high.
Seed is coated with a fungicide and should not be ingested.
