Clamp, reaction flask, aluminum, 4", ace 6468-13,
An unused aluminum clamp, in the original package. Features an 8-bolt construction, with a metal center ring, covered by a softer board-type ring.
The clamp arrived here sealed in the original package, but was opened to get inner measurements, as well as better photos of the clamp itself. There is a very faint and superficial, inconsequential spot on the right side of the clamp (did not show up well in the main photo, so a detail caption was added at the bottom of the picture). The mark is either from manufacture or from a small amount of moisture that enteres a hole in the packaging. The material covering the center of the clamp is some type of coated fiber board that is used to protect the kettle glass from scratching.
This is an Ace /Kimax partner item. The package label states 'Ace 6468-13' and the clamp metal is stamped as 'Kimax 4 Inch - 7151-4000'. The 4 Inch desgination refers to the inner diameter of the kettle/tops (not included) that these are used on. This clamp is used on certain kettle tops and bottoms with the relatively tall, angled flanges. See the actual clamp dimensions below for exact fit.
