These new high tech super reflective insulation products are DIFFERENT
their insulation effect is NOT governed by the number of layers but is achieved by the quality of the reflectors - the higher the reflectivity - the higher the insulation performance.
Our product uses pure aluminium/silver outer and internal reflectors and is of the highest reflectivity available (mirror finish) giving the ultimate in superior insulation.
In addition, due to a revolutionary manufactuing process, the layers are constructed without seams - no welded/soldered or stitched joints meaning NO THERMAL BRIDGING. In welded products the thermal bridging allows heat to escape. This means our insulation will out perform similar products over a given area (BR 487)
Additional layers give acoustic benefits - but once a certain number of layers is passed, this benefit is reduced. The overriding benefit of alu-refective insulation products is in their slim form - light weight and space saving - this valuable property diminishes with increasing numbers of layers and increased thickness.
