The receiver is manufactured in a compact 12-pin butterfly package, which is pigtailed with a single-mode fiber with SC connectors. The received data is AC-coupled through a microwave RF connector, which is available with GPO, K or SMA connectors.
Multiplex's small-form-factor receivers, which have differential outputs, are housed in a butterfly package, with Ground-Signal-Ground-Signal-Ground output configuration for ease of interface with most MUX/DeMUX chipsets. This co-planar differential output eliminates the need for an RF connector.
