97V 24 HP DC ELECTRIC VEHICLE MOTOR
If you need a good power source for an electric vehicle project, Then Here is the Electric Motor for you. This electric motor can produce 24 HP continuously at 97 Volts DC and over 58 HP for short intermittent burst of power at that voltage. It is a used overhauled heavy duty 24 HP 97V shunt wound, continuous duty reversible DC Motor also called a separate excitation (SEPEX) motor. This Motor has been tested. This motor has some scuff and rust ect due to storage. It is in excellent working condition and its appearance is as shown in the listing. Originally made for forklifts, it was modified slightly for EV purposes.The power terminals marked A1 and A2 are for powering the motor and can be given up to 97 volts DC. The terminals marked F1 and F2 are for the fields. The fields is powered with 12 to 24 volts DC, with best performance provided with the fields being given 24 volts. The voltage for the fields should not exceed 24 volts. You can reverse this motor by simply changing the polarity of the power terminals, meaning switching which post each cable is connected to. The field (F1 and F2) should be connected separately (separate power source) from the power terminals. This Electric motor can be used for Forklifts, Electric Vehicles, Hydraulic power packs, pumps ECT. The motor is double shafted, one measures 13/16 in diameter and 1.5 long and the other is which tapers to 5/8 and ends with a threaded end that is less than in diameter and is 1.5 long. The motor is approximately 7.5" inches in diamter and 15.75 inches long includding shafts. The power cable must be disconnected or turned off before the fields are turned off.
