Bellows sealed vacuum linear motion pneumatic actuator
This is a NEW pneumatically operated bellows-sealed linear actuator for use in high vacuum applications.
As received by us, this item was not in sealed packaging, but had protective caps on both the pneumatic ports and on the position indicator plungers. It is immaculate, and close inspection reveals no sign that it has ever been installed on a system (e.g., no marks from bolts or washers on the non-sealing surface of the vacuum flange).
As the cylinder fully reaches either end of its travel, the corresponding spring-loaded plunger is pushed out (this is visible in the one picture where the actuator is fully extended). As they are, these plungers provide visual indication of the status of the actuator, but it's obvious that the associated threaded details could be used to attach other components (e.g., microswitches) to be acted upon by the plungers in order to allow remote indication of the actuator status.
