Best hatchability can be obtained by incubating eggs under a broody chicken (I use silky chickens, being small they can only set 2 to 3 eggs at the most but they are the most dedicated little mothers I have ever seen. Do not let your chicken keep the peachick to raise, take it immediately away as soon as it breaks the shell). Incubators can be used but you must follow the manufacturer s directions to their use.
