Wheeler water main & soil pipe cutter plumbing tool n/r
This is a WHEELER REX water main & soil pipe cutter, or snapper.
Hydraulic operation by hand pump.
For cutting cast iron, clay, tile, asbestos, cement pipe and no hub soil pipe.
Cuts the following: XH Soil Pipe to 12".
Tool is in good usable condition. Working end has minor paint scratches from normal use. No leaks.
Tested, hydraulics squeeze the jaws together. Releasing pressure by T handle on hydaulic cylinder returns the jaws to open position.
Links are not bound or frozen, all rotate. Most of the cutter wheels are good, there are a few with flat spots, wheels can be rotated to good areas which will take care of problem if needed.
As shown in picture, chain is about 49" long.
The inside diameter looks to be 14 1/2" diameter.
I put a tape measure under the jaws to show size.
Handle to the hydraulic pump is removed (red) in the picture.
I only had 3" cast iron pipe to test this, it crushed the pipe, there weren't enough cutters around the pipe to cut it properly. This is for atleast 4" or maybe 6" pipe and larger pipe.
