On sale are 5 rods x 500mm x 2.0mm flux-coated Eutectic 1020xfc, known in the trade as "the pink rod".
The specification of this alloy is DIN EN 1044 AG102.
The make-up is: silver 56%, copper 22%, zinc 17%, tin 5% . CADMIUM FREE
Eutectic 1020 is the ultimate silver solder suitable for many applications, including tungsten tipping, model engineering, refrigeration and stainless steel.
Being cadmium free means that it is suitable for use on food and medical equipment and having a high silver content gives it a good colour match when used on jewellery.
Melting range 620-655 deg C - a very low melting point.
Coated with superb Eutectic "plasticized" flux and supplied in a plastic tube for extra protection and at half the price you would pay elsewhere.
