Antique wooden artist’s flat file cabinet
Antique artist s flat file cabinet. It originally had four drawers but one went missing in storage. I m not sure if this is oak or pine and I don t know the actual age. The unit does not have a top so I purchased a sheet of polished black acrylic to cover it a few years ago. I have that piece listed separately. The unit is 45 in. wide x 34 in. deep x 14 in. high. The exterior wood has a lot of wear and scratches but the unit is sturdy and solid. The interior is in good shape, the frame is hollow the top and bottom are open. Two drawers are 2.5 in. high, the third drawer is a double and 5 in. high. The handles are iron or steel. The drawer bottoms and frame back are made of 3-1/8 in. wide slats. The top has an opening of 28.5 in. x 38-1/8 in. The top frame is 3 in. wide on the sides and 3.5 in. wide in front and back. The missing drawer opening is 2.5 in. high. The last photo shows it with the acrylic top. The unit is heavy but it has casters and rolls easily. ESTIMATED weight with the drawers before packaging is about 60 lbs.
