This completely one-of-a-kind, unique and whimsical piece is designed for use as a counter/pastry display case for a coffee shop,restaurant or store.
There are adjustable shelves along both sides, and ample storage space all along the bottom, underneath the main display area of the cabinet. In the main display area, beautiful birch sculpted shelves can be removed or rearranged to give more display options.
The cabinet was designed around a van windshield. The top of the cabinet is covered in hand-made, multi-colored tiles from Mexico, giving a playful and lively feel to the piece. The blue scalloped waves along the front and sides are painted birch. The cabinet is constructed almost exclusively using birch, with some pieces made of pine (the blue and terra-cotta painted portions are pine, and the stained sections are birch.) There are three hand-crafted portions of tile-mosaics.
The windshield still has its rear-view mirror attached, and on the left side there are some treated cracks to give it true flavor. The cabinet is completely hand-made, with over 300 hours put into it's construction using only a jigsaw, sander, drill, and plain. No one will ever have anything else like it!
