Altec pengo digger derrick 20 in hole auger, rock teeth
This is a 20 inch auger. It is 8 feet long. On the drive end, it is stamped with an Altec symbol and it also reads: PENGO and the number 250.
I was able to test it and dig some holes with it before I removed it. It works great. It has heavy duty rock teeth on the ends with those little tipped rock teeth. They are in very good condition. The auger is a severe duty model with the first couple of feet having very, very thick auger flighting.
The shaft of the auger slides onto a standard 2 1/5 inch wide hydraulic digger motor shaft - see photo. It is hollow down the middle so you can use it with a standard PENGO auger extension Kelly bar so you can dig really deep holes.
