The Brahma is in the heavy breed class.
Originally called Brahma-Pootras after the river which divides China and India, they arrived in the U.S. around 1850.
They have excellent temperment and a beautiful appearance.
Buff Brahmas are a quiet, hardy and large breed that lays well and thrives in colder climates.
The striking contrast in feather color is truly beautiful......Their compact pea comb makes them an excellent choice for Northern poultry fanciers.
Brahmas are quite gentle, easily handled and are well suited for foraging.
They are excellent setters and mothers as well as a dual purpose fowl.......
Their substantial frame makes for a beautiful and plump roaster when dressed for the table.
Males average 11 lbs and females 8.5 lbs.....They have fully feathered shanks and toes and yellow skin.
Brahmas are very good layers of large brown eggs and will lay through Winter.
They are an excellent choice for children and make wonderful pets.
We have excellent hatch rates and fertility is manually checked and confirmed DAILY........
