Smart Clamping is a specialized vacuum system using a maximum concentration of vacuum suction at each and every orifice below the table surface to create a holding capacity unmatched by any vacuum system found in the market place today. This new technology found nowhere else in the world was developed in Germany and now available for purchase in the U.S.A. You can now securely clamp workpieces having an even surface with a vacuum output of 500Watts per m without having to cover any of the remaining open suction holes. So throw away those toggle clamps and see what full production really means.
The tensile strength of this system is five times as great as when clamping with conventional radial turbines or as often practised, with industrial shop vacuum cleaners.
At the same time, mounting to a CNC machine is clearly simplified, since the feed cables require fewer cross-sections than conventional clamping technology which has been practised to date. Smart clamping avoids leakage instead of distributing it evenly on the surface by means of a particularly expensive ducting.
As an example of the efficiency of this process using one of our other table models, the following video shows an aluminium disk with a surface area of 7.09 (180mm) x 4.72 (120mm) and a thickness of 0.787 (20mm) equipped with several pockets. Here are the milling parameters:
