New old stock (NOS) 16-pin DIP/DIL ICs. LM346N / LM346 Programmable Quad Bipolar Opamps, National Semiconductor. The LM346 has a 1 MHz BW - more than satisfactory for audio and most ultrasonic and sonar applications - and a gain of 120db. Two external resistors (pin 8, pin 9) allow the LM346 to be programmable for gain, slew rate, supply current, input bias current, input offset current, and input noise level. This makes the LM346 very versatile - user can make tradeoffs between these properties to optimize virtually every circuit design. The huge versatility of the LM346 (along with the CD4007) makes it a great electronics learning IC - all kinds of circuits can be built from it and it teaches the electronic student the importance of gain, slew rate, dissipation, input bias, offset bias and signal-to-noise ratio. Except for the two end programming pins (8, 9), the pin layout of the LM346 is the same as the popular 14-pin LM324 and TL074 (both of which we also sell).
