Soil mercury thermal desorption system fluidized bed

Can recover hydrocarbons, mercury, chlorines, etc. This system was set up and was just starting on its first mercury recovery project when the project was stopped. "LIKE NEW". Step one: contaminated soil is screened and crushed so the material sent into the processing unit is uniform in size. Step two: the contaminated soil is heated to a temperature of up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit so that the contaminants in the soil are vaporized. Step three: the vapors are cooled and condensed for collection in liquid form. Depending on the nature of the contaminants, the liquid is then recycled, further processed, or destroyed. Step four: the heated soil is then cooled, tested for contaminant levels, and returned to its owner for use as backfill or sent to a landfill as daily cover.
