Amphotericin B is intended for use in cell culture as an anti-fungal agent. It should be added aseptically to the cell culture medium at concentrations up to 10ml per liter. This product is effective against sensitive fungi by its ability to interfere with the permeability of the cell membrane via the binding of sterols present in the cellular membrane.
