If you want the quickest barcode scanning of random items in any orientation to the reader - this is all the barcode scanner you'll ever need !! This item is a leading edge omni-directional imager/scanner, from world leaders, Symbol. This is the black DS6707-SR20007ZZR, a relatively new model in their range, superior to the cheaper DS6708 because it features image capture if required.
The scanner is UNUSED AND BOXED, and is guaranteed to work perfectly. It is offered with warranty,disk manuals and a 10ft USB cable. (The cable sells for $40+ on its own). It also comes with an extra option, a NEW AND BOXED Symbol hands-free "intellistand", which again sells for over $40 when bought separately
The scanner reads across the range of normal and 2-D barcodes similar to this one, 2dcode(very common on cell phones for example) and also has image capture technology. Please check out the manufacturers information in the link at the end of this listing.

Connecting barcode scanners through USB is great where you don't have a normal ps/2 keyboard required by the older style ps/2 keyboard scanners, or where you need to connect to a LAPTOP. The scanner works straight out of the box without special software, drivers or separate power supply. The first time the scanner is connected to the USB port the keyboard emulation Windows HID (Human interface driver) installs and thereafter when a scan occurs the characters from the barcode appear on screen at the current cursor position as if they had been typed in, so any application that will accept typed characters will work with this scanner! A printed startup guide and full disk manual are included in case you need to format the barcode, add extra characters, enable different barcode types etc.
