Uniden bearcat BC296D digital portable scanner 296 296D
I am selling a Uniden Bearcat BC296D Digital Portable Scanner in very good cosmetic and excellent operational condition. I have never experienced any sort of problem with this radio, and it seems to operate flawlessly in both analog and digital modes, both conventional and trunking. There are some minor scuffs/scratches on the lower front corners and upper right side of the scanner that are too small to photograph. The display is bright and clear, with only minor signs of use. Other minor marks front and rear. It does not have the belt clip; the cheap one it came with broke quickly!
Included with the scanner are the digital card, original antenna, the original plug-in ac power supply, the hard to find programming/control cable and a nearly new (bought last fall) SMARTBATTS ultra-high capacity battery pack. This battery is rated at 2600 ma and seems to last significantly longer than the standard (1600 ma) battery that came with the radio.
I do not have the instruction manual for this scanner, but do have one for the nearly identical BC-250D model which I will include. Actual 296D manuals are available in numerous places on the net for free download. Try to start.
