10-32 Floating Nut Plates (AKA: Anchor Nuts or "Nutplates):
Thread: 10-32 UNF - NON-self locking
Rivet Mounting Hole Spacing: .500"
Coating: Either White Paint or White Powdercoating
Floating nut plates allow the application a bit of tolerance for the 2 mating pieces since the threaded sub-body "floats" within the nut plate main body to take up minor hole misalignment. Stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance, so I have no clue as to why these fasteners were coated in white, unless it serves some cosmetic purpose in aviation.
