The 5U UCS 1000 offers multiple fiber optic based services up to Gigabit speeds. The UCS 1000 provides a NEBS Level 3 tested and certified, cost effective managed platform. Different technologies can be mixed to form any type of network that you require. A variety of technology modules with various interface options provide complete flexibility. Everything is hot swappable and redundancy is offered to provide a trouble-free, rock solid product you can count on. Up to 15 technology modules can be housed in one UCS 1000. A 19" or 23" rackmount can be used with front mount, mid mount, rear mount or recessed mount. Advanced monitoring, management, trouble shooting and configuration features of all the UCS 1000 products provide you full access to the system locally and remotely.
The UCS 1000 product line provides managed end-to-end seamless capability. Up to eight UCS 1000 s can be controlled by a single IP address. Side Band management, SNMP and the included CanogaView Element Manager can be used to control the system. The UCS 1000 provides three levels of security to ensure privacy. SLIP, PPP, BOOTP, SNMP and multiple Telnet sessions are all supported. The multi-technology platform can be managed via a 10BaseT port, RJ-45 and EIA-232 port for dial-up communications or with a locally attached terminal.
