This 16" Potter & Johnson Shaper (Machine #M.T.858 purchased 11.25.1916 from Potter.and.Johnson Co. Account Machine.,ADD. Order #B.6656. Manufacturers # 10998)was manufactured in 1916 for Dana Corporation to prove a gear design.
Has automatic feed in X,Y down to .001. The verispeed belt has the wooden perpendicular slats from that era, which also show no signs of wear-and look as if they are brand new, no deterioration.
