This unit controls the climate control system in the following ways:
It can turn the unit on or off.
It controls if the system is in Vent Mode or in Control Mode
The temprature of the system is also controled by this unit.
I can't find a marking as to manufacturer but this unit is ready
for whatever you can dish out to it, it looks SO sturdy.
