These are obviously for use on processors and other heat-generating electronic components, but they would probably work on motors, gearboxes, solenoids, actuators, and other industrial applications where heat buildup can be a problem. Simply clean the nonporous mounting surface thoroughly with alcohol or other solvent, peel the protective film off the acrylic adhesive, and press firmly wherever you want them to stay. Great for marathon runners and other athletes. Attach to forehead, face, chest, back, etc. They probably won't stay on long, and they may not dissipate much heat, but your opponents will think you've gone crazy and they'll be afraid to get near you.
Dimensions are 1.670" x 1.668" x 1.385" (high side) x .643" (low side). According to the boxes they are made of "thermalloy" which is probably a fancy name for aluminum. They are, however, very strong to be so lightweight, so it is probably some kind of high strength aluminum alloy. If the wire clips get in your way, they can be easily removed with a pair of pliers.
