BaySpec supplies IntelliGain C-band and L-band series erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs), designed for OEM integration and applications that require a high gain and a low noise figure. The IntelliGain C-band series EDFA modules feature low power consumption, high efficiency and compact mechanical package. The amplifiers have a typical noise figure of <5.0 dB across the wavelength range of 1530-nm to 1562-nm. The IntelliGain C-band series high-power EDFAs provide ideal boosters, in-line amplifiers or pre-amplifiers, and meet Bellcore GR-1312-Core requirements. The new series EDFAs are equipped with an on-board microprocessor, which greatly improves the optical performance.
