The best application for the MVGLB blades is to put it on the bandsaw machine in the shop that everybody uses for general purpose cutting of a wide range of materials. It works well in structural shapes, tubing and stacks of mild steel pieces. Examples of metals this blade performs wells in is: A36, 40, 45, 50, 55, 1008, AND 1012. A band saw specification slide rule chart will be supplied with your order. This chart makes it easy to determine bandsaw cutting feeds and speeds for a variety of metals. The size of material to cut with the 8/12 variable pitch is solid or structual material that is up to 2.00". The variable tooth design reduces harmonic vibration resulting in a quieter running blade that cuts smoother and last longer. These bandsaw blades are made from spring tempered, steel backing with an M2 HSS cutting edge.
