I'll be honest with you. I am not exactly sure what this thing is used for. It appears to be some type of holding or measuring devise as it has calibrated numbers on the moving parts. It is mounted on a sturdy solid aluminum stand and weighs around 10-15 pounds. I will be selling it as a "what you see is what you get" item.From time to time I will have items that I really just do not know what there are. This is one of those items. Thats about all I know about it. Look at the photos and decide if it is useful to you.
