We bought a brand new RIDGID 14" Ban saw model BS1400.When we unpacked it and got it set up we turned it on and the motor just hummed.But if we turned the shaft on the motor while it was humming it would start up and run fine.We got a hold of RIDGID and they sent us out a new motor at no charge.They never asked for the old one back.We can't use it so someone with some experience with this sort of thing might be able to do something with it .So remember that this is new but it will just hum unless you turn the shaft a little and then it will run fine.Good luck.
Mounting Plate holes 3" across from center to center.5" from front to rear.Holes are 1" elongated.
Rotation Counter Clockwise Non-reversible
