The unit you are looking at is a NSG650 High Energy Pulse Generator complete with the CDN110 Surge Coupler. The unit was recently (January 2010) back at the Factory for repair and is in excellent working order. No DOA. We have been using the unit in our engineering test department and have recently purchased a new TESEQ unit and don't need this one any longer. Please contact us with any technical questions.
The Schaffner (Now TESEQ) NSG 650 produces hybrid pulses of the shape 1.2/50 s (open circuit) 8/20 s (short circuit) as well as the 0.5/100 kHz Ring wave pulse. The unit complies with the standards and recommendations IEC 801-5, ANSI-IEEE C62.41, IEEE587, VDE 0109 etc. It is operated via PC (IBM XT, AT or compatible). The operator can integrate the NSG 650 Generator into an existing computer environment.
