Wind blowing across the ventilator creates a vacuum which siphons the air from inside the building. Cap keeps out rain, snow, and backdrafts.
Made of Galvanized steel with a G90 rating. G90 is a grade of galvanized sheet produced to ASTM A653 specifications. It has .90 oz/sq ft. of zinc overall, .45 oz/sq ft. per side.
Our gravity ventilators are available in diameters from 5" to 36" inlet size.
