If you need a basic layout of your area use the formula listed below (Length x width) over (Fixture spacing squared) = Fixtures needed. An average spacing is 15 foot. So just multiply the length times the width of your area and put that number over 225 and you will have a close ideal of the number of fixtures you will need for a 75 foot candle light level.
