Ditch witch hydraulic horizontal boring attachment
I bought a pallet of these that were surplus from a local sewer company that bought them new when they bought new trenchers and do not need them any more. Four of them are new, and the rest are lightly used. They did not use them much.
They consist of a heavy duty hydraulic drive motor mounted to a metal frame with a output shaft on one end. I tested one out with my farm tractor and they appear to me to be a special slow speed / high torque motor.
There is a sticker on the back of some of them that reads:
The output shaft on them is exactly the same as a farm implement 540 rpm PTO shaft. I hooked up one to my tractor PTO to verify it is the same size and it is. This output shaft on these is a female end.
The guard is missing from one of them - I took a photo of it to show what is under it. They have a quick coupler and a universal joint under the guard.
I have seen these used in the past to convert farm implements to be hydraulic driven, but they don't turn as fast as a standard PTO speed I don't think.
I have used these in the past to drive fence brace anchors into the ground when building farm fences. They work great for that!
These have scratches and dings from being handled and I bet they rolled around in a truck tool box for a lot of their life.
1 is new but the shield is a little bent

1 used - has brand new PTO yokes and coupler
1 used - has threaded shaft in coupler & newer shield
1 used - barely used at all1 used - coupler on end is stuck
