MC6800P Motorola Processor CPU Microprocessor MC6800 IC
The 6800 was Motorola's first (1974) microprocessor. It was introduced to directly compete with Intel s 8080.
Much of the design was based on Intel s 8008 so the 6800 has a very similar architecture to the 8080 with several differences at the register level. For example, the 6800 has two accumulators while the 8080 has one. The 6800 has a smaller number of general purpose registers, but has a index register for array access to memory. Generally the 6800 s instructions are more complex that the 8080.
The processors listed for sale here are BRAND NEW. Original MOTOROLA production.
