TRG Control Data Model 108 Thermopile
For sale- a TRG Control Data Corporation Model 108 Thermopile. Whatever that is. I gather that thermopiles are routinely used to measure laser output, and if that is the case I am going to assume that is the function here. The business end has two holes, Input and Reference, that both look like they are shaped to accommodate an oversized pencil point.
I am going to guess that you would fire two lasers, one a known reference power and the other the one to be measured. I assume the input would be processed as a thermal component. According to the back side, one Joule would equal a 56.4 microvolt output. I cannot tell you what the power range is that this would be used for.
The agency surplus paperwork indicated that this piece should be functional, but it is untested by me and sold without warranty. Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab and optical equipment. Check back often!
