Banner S18 Series fixed-field sensors are small, powerful, infrared fixed-field proximity mode sensors with sharp far-limit cutoff. The high excess gain of these sensors make it possible for them to detect objects of low reflectivity, while sharp cutoff helps the sensors to ignore backgrounds lying beyond a far-limit cutoff distance. These sensors are ideal for detecting a part or surface that is only a fraction of an inch in fron of another surface.
