10 HP Motor - Heavy-duty gearbox and 10 HP motor, which is controlled by an AC inverter drive. Blade speed is easily adjusted from the control console and the wide range of available band speeds allows for efficient cutting of many types of material.
Blade Wheels - 22 high quality cast iron wheels with heavy-duty wheel & gearbox shaft bearings.
The Mitsubishi PLC 100 or optional PLC 500 controller controls the Automatic cycle.
The operator enters job information through the PLC interface keypad. The information required will be desired part length and quantity of pieces (with the optional PLC 500, the required angle at each end of the part are also entered). Up to 99 different jobs can be entered into the PLC memory, and can be called up and performed at any time. Also, a job queue function allows up to 5 jobs to be picked from the memory, and run consecutively.
In Manual mode - the PLC displays blade speed, feed rate and length system readout (The optional PLC 500 also will display angle information). A single part operation can also be performed while in the Manual mode. The operator simply enters the desired part length, presses the cycle start button, starts the blade, and the machine will index that length, cut it off and raise the head back up. As well as the single part operation the optional PLC 500 has an angle go to function, which allows the operator to enter a desired angle and have the machine automatically move the head to that angle.
Blade Drive - the blade drive motor is controlled by a Mitsubishi inverter drive. Provides smooth operation and infinite adjustment from 50 to 350 sfm.
