These two heptode valves have been tested on an AVO valve tester and have good characteristics.
One is a 6AG8GT by Brimar which has obviously been used and the metal base has a little corrosion.
The other is an X63 by Marconi and comes in its original box and wrapper. The metal collar on the base of this valve has come away from the glass, but this could easily be glued and does not detract from the valves performance. The valve itself appears to be unused.
Ia = 6.0 mA & Gm = 0.49 mA/V for Va = 250 V, Vs = 100V & Vg = - 3V
Valve 1;- Ia = 8.5 mA & Gm = 1.7 mA/V Brimar 6AG8GT
Valve 2;- Ia = 14 mA & Gm = 1.3 mA/V Marconi X63
