There are 2 independent elements each rated 40~80mcd @ 20mA or 100mcd @ 50mA (typical). The light is emitted from opposite corners. With careful soldering, these should work on a PLCC-2 footprint. One element will light for each polarity.
I'm thinking these might be good for building a bargraph or matrix display. You'd get 2 staggered rows in the same space as a normal PLCC-2 package. You'd probably need a professionally-manufacturered 2-layer PCB to handle all the connections.
