Fire retardant SW12
SW12 is an admixture for both solvent and water based paint
SW12 is compatible with most plasticizers, resins, esters, and high polymers.
SW12 has low volatility, flame retardant, emulsify and low inherent color. It is none toxic and is recommended for application coming in contact with food.
SW12 increases corrosion resistance of any paint.
Specific gravity at 25 degree centigrade : 1.35-1.37
Viscosity in poises at 25 degree centigrade : 500-700
SW12 produces a fire resistance coating that meets with ASTM STP 826 and E176- 82a standards.
E176-82a is the ASTM definition of the test method E84-81a (see attachment)
Add SW12 in the ratio one to ten by weight to any kind of paint and mix well.
The coat produced resists fire for a certain period of time in accordance to the thickness of the coat and the kind of paint.
Our experiments showed that the coats produced after adding the admixture SW12 resisted to fire for different periods of time up to 4 hours according to the thickness of the coat and the kind of paint.
12oz of SW12 as a free sample is enough to convert one gallon of any kind of paint to a fire retardant in order to enable clients to examine the product before purchasing.
Since actual use by others is beyond our control NO guarantee is expressed or implied by ENVIROPURE CT CO. LLC as to the effects of such use or the results to be obtained.
12oz containers each is enough to add to one gallon of paint.
60oz containers each is enough to add to five gallons of paint.
120oz containers each is enough to add to ten gallons of paint.
The product is stable in its container at room temperature for any period of time.
