Kidde cast aluminum machine age infrared sensor sconces

These are actually vintage new old stock infrared light and reflector but with some modification they would make the wildest machine age/industrial/Eames/mid century modern sconces or ceiling lights you ever saw. These are marked Walter Kidde Model 1100 B Proj-for projector and the other is the 100 B Rec-for receptacle. I believe these were actually a vintage smoke alarm that when the smoke got thick enough it blocked the infrared beam. The glass in the projector is that dark you can barely see it glow red with a powerful 5 cell flashlight trying to shine thru it. The actual bullet shaped light Is mounted on a ball swivel so it may be swung 360 degrees and also tilted some.Shade is 6 3/8" diameter at the fat end and 10" long. Total height of the unit is about 13". The whole thing is thick cast aluminum with a textured dark gray almost military finish. The locking wiring system looks military too. I Have the red lens off for the pictures and the clear one looks foggy as I just brought it in from the cold and it is sweating. These weigh 11 lbs each before packing. . 30b5d s
