OBJECTIVE CARL ZEISS EPIPLAN HD 8/0,2
DESCRIPTION: This is a Zeiss incident light objective with darkfield illumination capability (HD, for Hellfeld / Dunkelfeld). This lens looks to be in good condition no cracks or chips, although we could not test it.
The adjustment length of the lens is 33 mm (distance from the specimen to the thread seat when properly focused). The lens is also corrected for flat field. The outer mirror bezel can be adjusted (by loosening the lower set screw (upper in the first photo). This allows the user to carefully set the optimum illumination for the sample being observed. For most applications, the bezel can be left in the original factory set position. The objective front lens is not spring-loaded. Using this lens with the Zeiss auto-leveling stage allows some extra protection for the lens.
The thread diameter of the objective is 24 mm the Zeiss "HD" thread. Zeiss lenses are known for quality. We have several so please check our other offerings.
