Vintage wooden spool of varnished copper magnet wire

For sale is a vintage wooden spool of varnished copper magnet wire. The spool and the wire weigh about 1 pound, but if there were any labels on this spool to indicate the size of the wire, or the manufacturer, they are long gone.
This spool of wire was among the things left by my father. He was a radio repairman (and later TV), since the late 30's, early 40's, and I have no idea how long he had this spool of wire. This spool is 3 3/4" high, and the ends of the spool are 2 3/4" across. The ends are rounded on both "flat" sides, and are now loose from the mail spindle. But that allowed me to photograph the wire without the end of the spool, so that you could see how much wire was on the spool. Though I'm sure the wire is still good, I believe the value is in the unique spool, great for a display item! (If you recognize this spool, or know which manufacturer sold on spools like this, or have some idea of the date of this... even if you are not interested in purchasing it... I would truly appreciate an e-mail with those details, so that I can make a more-informed posting!)
Thanks for looking, and I hope you can picture where you would like to display this unique spool of wire!
