This DCK-10 attachment allows the ability of the CK10 to dwell the honing head in any position in the bore at any time during the stroke cycle-instantly-just a flick of the wrist.
Developed to overcome some of the machining difficulties inherited while operating this machine such as (1)only honing the top of the cylinder after torquing stress plates (2) honing the centre or mid-stroke of the bore. Normal honing head pressure causes the cylinder wall to move outward during the honing process. This results in the centre of the bore being smaller than the top and bottom, thus creating an hour-glass shape in the cylinder. Both of these common problems can be easily corrected with this attachment.
