UHMW Round Rod .500" diameter x 48" long - Red
Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a very tough material, with the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic. It is highly resistant to corrosive chemicals, has extremely low moisture absorption, very low coefficient of friction, is self lubricating and is highly resistant to abrasion (15 times that of carbon steel).

Rods are flexible and forming (not rigid) Rods may have a slight curve over the length of the rod due to the position they were in during storage, they can be straightened by laying on a flat surface or by hand.
Custom Sizes / Cutting / Shearing / Sawing
We offer custom cutting of this material for a nominal fee.
Our cutting/shearing capabilities limit us to straight squares and rectangles.
Bar, Tube, Rod Sawing: +/- .125"
We do offer precision shearing of +/- .005"
We do not offer ant type of fabrication. (bending, drilling, etc)
