* Ballasts are vacuum impregnated to help eliminate premature failure and voltage breakdown, for longer life and quieter operation.
* Kits are compatible with most fixture designs. Include: capacitor, core and coil, igniter (where applicable), mounting bracket, and hardware. No live parts for safety. Use only capacitor and igniter included with kit. Pulse Start-These metal halide lamps have no starting electrodes, and an open circuit voltage (OCV) of approximately 2 times the lamp voltage. Lamps have an igniter that provides a high voltage starting pulse directly across the main electrodes. When the lamp s arc is established, the igniter stops delivering pulses and the lamp comes up to full brightness. Probe Start-These metal halide lamps have an electrode located at 1 end of the arc tube to assist in lamp starting. Require an OCV of approximately 2 times the lamp voltage to start the arc.
