Nice D17 Allis Chalmers Tractor AC D-17
Up for sale is Allis Chalmers D17. The serial number is 28987. According to that number it was made around 1959 to 1960 time frame. It is a good running 4 cylinder gasoline tractor around 50 to 55 hp. Tractor has recently been repainted with a new steering wheel, decal set and new seat. Tractor is in excellent shape. Tractor's paint was faded but was not all rusted up. Tractor does have power steering.
This is a strong running tractor. I have been using this tractor regularly on my own farm for the past three years with no issues. We have used these tractors on the family farm for over 50 years. They are a good tractor's for hay making, silage harvest, pulling and transporting grain. Back in the day we used them to plow, disk and plant with and still could be used that way for a small farm. This tractor has four forward gears and one reverse. It also has high and low range. Separate right and left brakes for short turns. There is one hydraulic connector along with the three point hitch lift. The tractor has a modified three point hitch on the tractor now so it will pull a modern day finish mower. I have the hitch that will sell with the tractor. I had been using this tractor to mow my yard, with a finish mower. I may also sell the finish mower if you are interested.
This tractor will load and fit on a car trailer just fine if you need to haul it.
I prefer cash at pick-up. If you pay by personal check, the check must clear both banks before pulling wagon home. A certified bank check would be a better option if you rather not carry that much cash.
