The 500CE included the RS485/ CANbus optional communication interface. Also included are the software support CD and the motor/power screw connector. The serial # tag's writing has been cleaned off, but above info means it was probably manufactured in 2003. Original selling price was about $800.

Encoder input: 5V differential, 400 KHz max. input frequency (pre-quadrature), resolution 1000, 1024, 2000 or 5000 lines
(i.e., up to 20,000 counts/rev).
